Like a lot of people, I’m wondering how we got here as a nation. Citizens feel disconnected from each other, Congress is locked in a partisan stalemate and unable to address even the most basic issues like crumbling infrastructure and saving the failing health care system. Through the ballot box, Americans clearly demand better choices, but too many elected officials only hear the call of narrowly-focused political interest

I’m running because it’s time we move beyond the infighting and partisan factions. Congress needs to do the hard work of addressing issues like taxes, immigration, national security and better transportation.

Our country is at a critical junction – if we don’t start coming together we will surely lose our stature as the beacon of freedom and prosperity. We’re a big nation and we can thrive through inclusion and common purpose, but only if we put aside the petty differences and put the priorities of the people first.
